NR 443 Week 4 Milestone 2 : Derby, Connecticut is the smallest city in CT. It spans an entire 4.98 square miles with a population of just fewer than 13,000 people. The town contains a small hospital, multiple shopping centers, low income housing and residential areas. There is a homeless community in Derby along with large numbers of alcoholic and drug abusing people. Derby is part of what we call “The Valley” in CT. In the valley is what we call “Valley People”. It’s hard to define these types of people but they usually are under the influence of drugs and alcohol with poor hygiene and are usually not the most educated people.
