In today’s justice system it is important to understand the concepts of bail and how it applies to millions of inmates in the jail and prison system. Majority of the time bail amounts for defendants are set by judges or attorneys. Most of the time bail is set so high that some social classes can’t afford it. Also, it is important to understand why bail is set in the first place for defendants. The meaning of bail is a temporary release of an individual back into society.
