NURS 6660 Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Role I: Child and Adolescent
This course introduces child and adolescent psychiatry and the main focus of the study will be on the psychiatric and/or mental health disorders that begin in childhood and adolescence. Topics include psychiatric assessment; differential diagnosis; and application of diagnostic criteria, appropriate diagnostic testing, and diagnostic formulation. Legal and ethical considerations for working with children and adolescents will also be studied.
