NURS 6670 Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Role II

This course for the psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) focuses on psychiatric mental health issues that are found in adults and older adults. Selection of assessment approaches for the adult and older adults as well as differential diagnosis, application of diagnostic criteria, appropriate diagnostic testing, and diagnostic case formulation will be undertaken. Through these practicum experiences, students will learn the application of didactic concepts to patient care situations.
