NURS 6650 Family and Group Therapy Walden University

In this course, students will learn the concept of the treatment of groups and families. Group and family dynamics and benefits associated with group and family therapy will also be discussed along with introducing the students to techniques that can be used in group and family therapy settings. Practicum experiences focus on the treatment of the family unit as well as the provision of group psychotherapy. Managed care has ushered in a new era of effective mental health services.
